File extension vdf information
There are at least six file types with the file extension VDF designation. However, the most common file association is the VirtualDub Video filter file. It falls in the category of Plug-in files and has been described a filter plug-in for VirtualDub. VirtualDUB is a video capture as well as processing utility program that is used by the Windows operating system. It has some advantages over the other plug-in programs in that it adds some more features to the program such as special effects features as well as an extra life support.

It is strongly recommended that you scan your computer for registry errors (free).The file extension VDF is a proprietary file format which is referenced by an application and which should therefore not be opened manually. It is well supported by the Windows operating system and can be opened using the VirtualDub Software. It is possible to load the filters for VDF in VirtualDub Software and by clicking the button for load which can be located in the Add filters dialog box. This will load these filters automatically so long as the VDF files have been placed in the plug-ins folder that is in the VirtualDub program folder.
